When, in the spring of 2003, the investment group Expandia purchased an interest in the Svitavy-based Vigona, it had a plan for the construction of a new 72 x 48 m hall on the table. A year later, when a new investor, the Danish producer of unwoven textiles Fibertex, purchased the company, the building's skeleton was already standing.It immediately stopped construction work and decided to reassess the whole project. In September 2004 it started to build a new plant that was three times bigger and the production, storage and administrative space was to be 7,500 m2. Trial operation began on 1 July 2005. Work on other stages, which took up 50,000 square metres, was carried out at the same time as the construction. The role of developer was played by Starcon, which had remarkable numbers: the comprehensive change to the project lasted three months, there was no delay and the budget was 20 percent lower than average.
